Ad-Up pays web sites between 25% and 60% of web revenues when you host their banners. The payment is based on the number of visitors your site receives (your commission increases as your hits increase.
AdX has recently become very popular since it can generate impression-based advertising for small sites (although they do also accept large sites, that is, 3,000+ impressions per day). AdX promises to pay $1 for every 1000 impressions which isn't a bad rate for small sites. Currently, though, they appear to have been overwhelmed by a number of sites signing up and are not accepting new sites into the network. You can, however, request that they contact you when they are opening the network up again to accept new sites.
AdXchange now sells ad space to advertisers at the incredible rate of $3.50 per 1000 impressions and they offer Web sites $2.50 per 1000 impressions to host their ads. Since their rates have dropped to one of the lowest in the industry, I imagine that they will be able to offer sites more paid ads than what they could in the past. Still, when paid ads are not available, you can earn banner exchange credits at the rate of 65:100 that enable you to publicize your site on others in a similar system to that offered by LinkExchange.
Internet Banner Network is offering sites that receive more than 4,000 impressions per month 0.25 cents per impression of paid ads on their web page. Sites must place at least 5 IBN banners on their site, including a banner on their home page. When paid ads are not available, sites can earn credits towards a banner exchange program.
The Mining Company has initiated an interesting program in which webmasters are asked to create topical content for the company in exchange for a percentage of their impression-based profits. The MiningCo staff decide on the topics for each web page, at which time webmasters should apply for the opportunity to create content for the company (including weekly features, link lists and more). The selected guides will be given their own sub-domain, and will earn 35% of all profits generated by MiningCo through the appearance of ads on their pages. 'SuperGuides' (guides who have completed a 12-week primer course) will also be eligible for a percentage of a half-yearly bonus pool. Guides are promised a guaranteed $100 per month for the first few months of operation.
Suite101 has set up a program similar to that offered by the Mining Company. While not essentially an impression-based program, Suite101 does agree to pay webmasters a set amount for creating content for the Suite101 site. The amount ranges between $15 and $25 per month, depending on the frequency by which the page is updated with fresh content. For an example Suite101 site, see Extreme's Australian Cinema page.
Banner Media offers sites generating in excess of 10,000 visitors/day the chance to secure high paying advertisers for their Web site. Payments rates are 0.8 cents per impression plus 4 cents per click-thru. This is a great company to use if you have a large site with unsold advertising inventory and although I personally have not used them, from all reports they appear to pay on time.
Cyber Loft now pays $1.50 for every 1000 impressions of their 120x60 pixel buttons on your site. This is a great deal since the banners are about 1/3 the size of other company's banners. If your website receives between 1000 and 5000 visitors each day, e-mail [email protected] for more information.
Digital Music Network pays music-related Web sites 70% of impression-based revenue generated on their pages. They represent sites such as CDUniverse and other 'big players' in the music industry. In order to participate, your site must be music-related and must receive at least 100,000 impressions per month. If you are lucky enough to have such a popular music site, this is a fantastic advertising broker that promises big revenues.
FlyCast Communications offers a great amount of freedom to both the buyers and sellers of Web-based advertising via their Ad Auction system in which they present advertisers with a network of sites that have available ad space and negotiate advertising rates. You can, to a certain extent, set your own CPM rate (but the lower you set it, the more likely you are to receive ads - I recommend setting your lower limit at between $1-$2). Recently, the company requested that only sites that can generate over 200,000 impressions per month should participate, but they do ask about your site's current growth rate and do accept sites that show promising growth potential.
DoubleClick is one of the most reputable banner
advertising agencies on the 'Net. At present, they only accept
sites which generate in excess of 1,000,000 impressions each
month, with payment negotiated on a site-to-site basis.
